Classes

Within a class setting each person is encouraged to express his/her individual creativity – to create their own quilt, not just to follow a pattern.

I aim to give participants confidence in several key areas which are critical for creative design:

COLOUR: to see how to interpret a design by using fabric and colour in all its magic and richness
TECHNICAL KNOW_HOW: hand and machine appliqué, hand and machine piecing including all the tips and tricks gleaned from 30 years of quilting and teaching.
DRAFTING: Development of individual designs demands confidence in drafting individual patterns. Yes, computer programs may be appropriate in many cases but a sense of ownership comes from personal drafting.

Classes are presented as 2 day workshops or ongoing monthly 3-4 hour classes in shops or other venues.

It is planned in the future to have individual on-line tuition.
